Entry to Employment

Entry to Employment is designed to equip young people to become independent, self-motivated, informed and empowered to take control of their lives. The aim of the programme is to enable learners to progress into employment with training, apprenticeships or onto further learning programmes.

  • Learners participating in this programme have the opportunity to gain qualifications up to and including Level 1 Functional Maths, English and ICT skills, Vocational skills and Personal and Social Development and the planned attendance is 30 hours a week.

We offer learners assistance to develop their vocational skills by undertaking work experience in either a real life environment or a community project. They may attend for up to 3 days each week. In many cases this leads to full time employment or an apprenticeship, but as a minimum, it will enhance life skills and raise general employability and provide learners with a current work reference.
