Working together to deliver quality community learning and skills across the Tees Valley
TeesLearn is collaboration between six adult education services to provide local skills and leisure learning opportunities.
Courses are held within your local community area at a range of days and times. Course opportunities on offer range from simple have a go taster type courses to the longer qualification based provision. We provide leisure courses for those of you that want to improve skills for a hobby or fitness such as photography, painting or learning a language. Leisure courses are a great way to both learn a fun skill and meet new friends.
Skills courses with a certificate are offered at most venues and can improve your chances of getting that job. These courses are accredited by the main awarding bodies ensuring that the certificate has currency with a potential employer. Skills based courses include Computers, Maths, English Horticulture and a whole range of opportunities across most areas of work.
We have specialised employability provision which is aimed at improving your chances of getting that dream job. Employability courses can include CV workshops, English, Maths, Confidence building and a range of specialist courses to improve your skills within your employment area.
We deliver apprenticeships in a range of vocational areas. By combining work and study, apprenticeships provide the opportunity to gain experience, develop new skills and earn whilst learning. Apprenticeships are available for anyone aged over 16 years - for those just leaving school up to experienced staff.
Most of our courses are supported with an online classroom. You can access further resources and contact your tutor or your peers.
